Json Edit 2026 is a browser-based JSON toolkit. This page explains what happens to your data when you use it.
Your JSON, YAML, CSV and other document content
Everything you paste, type or upload into an editor on this site is processed entirely in your own browser using JavaScript. We do not upload, transmit or store the content of your documents on any server. Closing the tab or clearing your browser storage removes it completely.
Local storage
We use your browser's local storage to remember things like your editor font size and tab size, your light/dark theme choice, and a short list of tools you've recently visited. This data is saved only on your own device to make your next visit more convenient - we cannot see or access it.
Importing from a URL
If you use a feature that loads JSON from a URL you provide, your browser makes a direct request to that address. We do not proxy, log or see the content that is returned.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the site - which pages are visited, general device/browser type, and approximate location. This helps us improve the tools we offer. Google's handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Advertising
This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
Contact form
If you submit our Contact form, the name, email and message you provide are sent via a third-party form-processing service directly to our inbox, solely so we can respond to you. We don't use it for marketing and don't share it with anyone else.
No accounts, no data sales
Json Edit 2026 does not require you to create an account, and we do not sell personal data to third parties.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision.
